Francis Henry. Page. William Henry Glendining and Frederick Marshall, exsolicitor, were charged at Bow fetreet with blackmailing the Oomtesse Hamd de Manin of £-500. Amounts were obtained under threat that letters would be published -to her annoyance, written by Dan O’Connor, late of Sydney, and one Dobbie. It was stated m Court that the letters wer© not in the least improper, but the Oomtesse Harml de Manin was a nervous old lady.
