LONDON WOOL SALES
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., yesterday received the following cablegram from their London office re wool sales: ‘•'As compared with last sales closing rates prices are about par to 5 per cent, higher for lambs, greasy merino medium and coarse greasy crossbred, scoured merino super, greasy merino inferior and greasy crossbred lambs; about 5 per cent, higher for scoured merino medium, coarse crossbred slipe. fine greasy crossbred, fine crossbred slipe, fine scoured crossbred; about o per cent to 74 per cent, higher for scoured merino inferior, coarse scoured crossbred, medium greasy crossbred, medium crossbred slipe and medium scoured crossbred. Sales progress firmly. Fair American demand for crossbred.”

The Department of C'cnimercc lias received the following cable from Buenos Ayres, dated oth December: The, following shipments of produce were despatched from the Argentine to United Kingdom ports during November (compared with November 1910): — Frozen beef, 1911, 121,000 quarters; 1910, 126,660; chilled, 190,000 and 172,605; frozen mutton, 270.000 carcases and 306,543 ; lamb, 117, 000 and 62,710 ; butter. 6802 cwt, and 9810.
