WiFE MURDERS HUSBAND
FOR SELLING HER TO ANOTHER MAN.

Mrs. Gibson Patterson, who recently shot her husband, was tried in Denver to-day on a. charge of murder. Tho defence was that the woman killed her husband in resentment at his action in having sold her to a Chicago millionaire for £‘3oo.

was one in which the unwritten jaw should prevail, and acquitted jris< nor. [Mrs. Pattej son was the wife of a wealthy broker in Chicago. The tragedy occurred in the latter part of September, and was reported at the time to have been the result of a quarrel with regard to divorce proceedings that were then pending. After her husband fell dead the woman thrust the icvolver with which she had inflicted the fatal wound beneath tho body, and declared that he had committed suicide. Shortly afterwards, however, she confessed to having committed the murder.]
