RE J. RASKIN’S CHALLENGE.
(To the Editor of tho “Times.”] SIR,- —I consider that enough has been said in this .matter through the press, ‘but cannot close the same without expressing regret that- the secretary of the Kia Ora Company should have quite overlooked Mr. Hawkins in the matter and has endeavored to cause confusion in the comparisons of the tests by referring to a different method of calculating, whieh. it is not my intention to.further discuss. 1 supplied certain simple facts in reply to jlr. Haskins’ challenge, and it does not require either Mr. Graham or myself to explain those points any further to those interested. I am quite satisfied that- the large number of the Kia Ora shareholders. who are to-day supplying the Okiitii Factory are not doing so' without some reason, and that they are. quite satisfied is borne out liv the fact that a, number of them have voluntarily offered to publicly substantiate the same, one of whom asserts that the difference he gets- nearly pays his rent.—l am, etc., P A. ARMSTRONG, Manager Okitu Factory Proprietary.
