Holy Communion was also dispensed by Bishop Averill. The Bishop conducted a confirmation service at 3 pm., at which there was large congregation. He delivered two brief addresses, one to the confirmees and the other to the congregation generally. Tlie Rev. L. Dawson Thomas announced that the confirmees would receive their first Communion at the ordinary 8 a.m. service on Christmas morning.
