GISBORNE IMPROVEMENTS.

A NEW BLOCK OJF BUILDINGS

A block.of buildings which should add to the architectural beauty of the town and do much to relievo the difficulty which at present exists in securing business premises anywhere near., the central portion, is shortly to be erected. Mr G; H. Lysnar ; has secured a long lease of the block at the-corner of. Peel Street and Read’s Quay, having a,'frontage of 180 ft to Peel Street and 175 ft to Read’s Quay. Mr Lysnar at present owns the freehold of two sections on Read’s Quay, and lie has secured the lease of. the remainder of the,.block from the trustees of the estate of the late H. J. Reed (Messrs R. Johnston and H. Miller). It is Mr Lysnar’s intention to erect a fine block of buildings, suitable for shops, offices, etc. In this morning’s issue tenders are called for the removal of a six-roomed dwelling from the premises. Mr Lysnar invites business people who are desirous of renting premises to communicate with him, in order that their wishes may be studied when the plans are being prepared.
