fPE* PRESS ASSOCIATION.? WELLINGTON, Dec. 22. The barometer rose.during the nignt, but has' made little movement to-day. Moderate westerly winds have prevailed in and: northward; of Cook Strait, and easterly winds elsewhere. Rain hae fallen \c-n. the West Coast, and in other parts.> but - warm and whazy weather prevailed. Present indications are for mild hazy and humid conditions, with) variable winds generally, but increasing cloudiness and falling barometer, with freshening northerly winds?, will probably bring rain shortly, in northern districts. ' The, outlook in the south is also for unsettled and misty weather, easterly breezes backing to south-east and barometer rising unsteadily after a short time.
