FESTIVAL OF EMPIRE TEAM

The New Zealand Festival of Empire Committee last night entertained Mr. R. Coombes, wso was their tive in .London with the Australasian team. In the course of a reply to the Welcome. Committee he said that the team Which went Home was foredoomed 1 to failure. The members of the team reached London one by one, and were located in different parte of the city. Consequently it w T as difficult to deal with them as a team. A man was left to his own devices. Whenever a team, went Home again the members shouldl go together, be in the same „ quarters when they got to England, and be bound to do as they were told by the representative in charge of the team. The team was hall-mark-ed -with defeat before it left the shores of Australia and New Zealand.
