A BIG BANKRUPTCY.
HORATIO BOTTOMLEY’S LIABILITIES. [UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION —COPYRIGHT] LONDON, Dec. 29. Horatio Boitomley (whose share transactions have been 'brought prominently under public notice through lawsuits) has filed his schedule in bankruptcy. The liabilities were stated to be £170,000. but proofs have been lodged for a total of £220,700. (Received' Dec. 29, 10.50 p.m.) The Official Receiver stated that Bottomley’s assets were estimated at £36,000, 'but he was very doubtful regarding their realisable value. Debtor received £2OOO yearly for the editorship of the newspaper “‘John Bull,” besides £4OOO, being 10 per centum of its net profits.
