The chance visit of a constable to « camp .near Henderson to-day led to the discovery of two men suffering from a serious injury. The cmnp is inhabited by gumdiggers, and the constable found in the but an elderly gumdigger lying unconscious in a P (K jl blood. The man, whose name is Goo. hry, has bustained: severe injuries to the head, apparently caused by a bottle- The constable found Jack Denny, also a gumdigger, lying on the ground with blood issuing from severe wounds in the bead. He stated! he sustained the injuries by falling down. The serious condition of Fry rendered his removal to the hospital imperative. Denny was arrested and charged with assaulting Fry.
