OBTAINS RECORD PRICE AT HOME
[per press association-!] ELTH-AM, Jan. 5
Mr. Geo. H. Buckeridge, New Zealand representative of Henry A. Lane and Co., 'London, has received cable advice of the sale of another parcel of Hawera factory cheese winch liad taken prizes at the Dominion Show at Hawora, at a price equal to 6jd net to consignors. This is believed to be a rec-mu price for New Zealand cheese on the Home market, and is |d higher than the price obtained for the sale of any Now Zealand factory output, so that open consignment is proving the more profitable this season. This price is 2s per c,wt. 'better than the best Canadian was selling at the same time. The indications point to a further hardening of the cheese market.
