Alokoia, South, January 7. VESSELS IN PORT. - Squall, s.s. The Union Co.'s Squall, with general cargo from Auckland, arrived from that port, via Tokomaru Bay and- Tologa Bay on Saturday afternoon. She ■ called at Tokomaru Bay to shelter, having experienced heavy weathei’. She expects to get away to Auckland this evening. Messrs Huddart Parker and Co.'s Victoria. from Napier and south, arrived on Saturday morning, and left for Sydney, via Tokomaru Bav and Auckland, shortly before noon. ' The Union Co.'s Haupiri. which has been working East Coast bays, sailed direct' for Wellington on Friday, taking 709 bales of wool for transhipment to the Star of Canada at that port. She: returns north later, and is expected to cail here on Thursday next, on route to Auckland, via East Coast bays. The New Zealand Shipping Go's Opawa sailed for Napier on Saturday evening, having lifted about 200 bales of wool and 9000 carcases of frozen meat from mi, port. " . Messrs Richardson and Co.’s Kiritu’". which had been loading wool on the
coast went alongside the New Zealand Shipping Co.’s Opawa on Saturday, and after transhipping her cargo,, proceeded to Napier. • " ■ Messrs Richardson and - Co.’s Ripple, from Napier, arrived on Saturday morning. and sailed for Wellington the same evening. The Union S.S. Co.’s Mokoia, which left Auckland at 3.10 o/clock on Saturday afternoon, made a good passage down the Coast. The steamer connected at Tokomaru Bay, and arrived here at 2.30 yesterday afternoon. The steamer continued her passage south at 7 o’clock last evening, taking a large number of passengers from this port. The Union Co.’s cargo steamer Kowhai, is expected to leave * Dunedin to-day for intermediate ports and Gisborne. TELEGRAPHIC.
