At the Million Club meeting the hope was expressed that when the city’s population reached that limit the total number of people in the State: would be between four and five millions. MELBOURNE, Jan. 6, Speaking at a banquet, Mr King O’Malley, Federal Minister for Home Affairs, said that God had given Australians a great country. If they worked half as hard as Canadians all would be millionaires. In order to develop the country they must get rid of the antiquated crowd and systematise and organise.
