EMANCIPATION.
WHAT LABOR AIMS AT. [UNITED PBESB ASSOCIATION —COPYEIGHTJ (Received January 9, 12.25 a.m.) HOBART, Jan. 8. The Federal Labor Conference has opened. South Australian. delegates were unable to attend owing to the pending elections. Mr Earle, leader of the Tasmanian Laborites, was elected chairman, Mr Fisher desiring a free hand in discussing the agenda paper, which includes a number- of speculative and daring proposals. Mr Fisher, in a speech of public welcome to the delegates, said that the intelligent youth of Australia was looking to the Labor movement for political and economic emancipation.
