SOUTH AFRICAN COMMISSION. [UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION —COPYBIGHT] (Received Jan. 17, 11.15 p.m.) CAPETOWN, Jan.. 17. Mr Merrimam deplored the civil sotvice not understanding that the proposed Commission is beyond political influence, similar to those in Australia, despite the National Convention, giving a suggestion that this was so. Indications are that the Commission is likely to bo established, though much dissatisfaction is felt owing to the exercise of political interest.
