Huddart Parker Cods Wimmera arrived from the South on Saturday, and continued her voyage to Auckland later in the day, arriving there at 9.30 a.m. yesterday. Messrs, Richardson and Co.’s Ripple arrived from Wellington on Saturday morning with a general cargo, and left again in the afternoon. The scow Magic sailed for Wellington on Saturday morning. The Tyser Co/s Star of India is expected to arrive from the South to-day for Home loading. She left Wellington for Gisborne direct at 6 a.m. yesterday morning. The Shaw, Saviil, and Albion Co/s Zealandic is expected to arrive to-day or to-morrow, and the Tokomaru on Thursday. The former left Port Chalmers at 5 p.m. on Saturday. The New Zealand Shipping Co/s AngloMexican is expected to arrive at Gisborne about January 28th to load' for London.
The Union S.S. Co/s Hanpiri is working the coast, and should arrive here in a few days. She tranships wool to the Star of India, and returns to the coast for a further load, which she tranships to the same vessel at Napier. The Union S.S. Co/s Squall is expected to arrive from Auckland to-day. The Union C'o/s Kaiapoi, which arrived’ from Newcastle late on Friday, is expected to sail for Napier to-day. The coal for Tokomaru is being lightered at Gisborne.
The Union S.S. Co/s Mokoia left Auckland at 12.30 p.m. on Saturday, and arrived here at 11 o’clock. She proceeded South at 7 p.m. Messrs. Richardson and Co/s Koutunui arrived from Auckland, via Coast ports, yesterday morning with a general cargo. She commenced to discharge about 2 o’clock this morning, and on completion will go alongside the Kaiapoi, which is lying in the bay, in order to get a load of coal for Tokomarn. From there she proceeds to Auckland. The S.S. Tuatea left for Tologa Bay last night to pick Tip wool for transhipment to the Zealandic at Gisborne.
The schooner Awanui passed the East Cape on her way to Gisborne at 5 p.m. yesterday.
