Thougli! the newspapers are unanimous that France has right on her siu*, and that her national honor is involved, they consider that the captures of French steamers by Italians have arisen owing to a misunderstanding, and mat French and Italian friendship is enough to ensure a settlement. Italy proposes that the seizures of French steamers be arbitrated upon by the Hague Convention.
