[UNITED PEESS ASSOCIATION COPYBIGHT} (Received January 24, 12.15 p.m.) LONDON, Jan. *?3. The Portuguese Legation at London announces that the rumor that Portugal desires to dispose of any colonies is false. The colonial policy will be developed in harmony with the Portuguese Alliance with _ Great Britain. Dr Solfe, who is visiting London, to discuss Anglo-German colonial interests, states that his visit to England is not connected with any German aspirations to Portuguese Africa.
