A firm claiming to be the largest shippers of Welsh tin plates to Australasia, telegraphed to Mr. Bond, Unionist candidate for Carmarthen, on the eve of the. by-election, that as Australia and Australian workers were anxious to confine their trade to the Motherland. the electors should cheese Mr. Bond and help' the Imperial colonial preference.
