LONDON WOOL SALES
[UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION —COPYRIGHT} LONDON, Jan. 23. The wool sales continue to be good. The prices for best merinos, and all crossbreds are being firmly maintained on the average, but fanlties are weaker. ORMOND SALE. Messrs Pearson, Max Jackson and de Lautour report having held a satisfactory sale at Ormond yesterday, nearly everything being cleared under the hammer. Lambs made up to 7s 6d, ewes old 6s 7d to 9 s Bd, ewes and lambs in poor condition 11s, porkers up to 3Ss, cows and calves £5, 2-year-okl heifers £4 5s to £5, according to qualitv,- yearling steers £2 6s, fat steers' £1 15s, draught horses £lB to £2O. The firm will hold their next sales at Te Karaka on February sth, and Ormond February 6th. Entries are invited.
