HIS DREAM CAME TRUE.
FIRE IN ABERDEEN ROAD.
OWNER OF HOUSE DREAMS OF ITS DESTRUCTION.
There was an interesting circumstance with reference to the destruction by fire of a seven-roomed house in Aberdeen -Road, owned by Mr P. A. Johansen, builder, at 7 a.m. yesterday. It appears that the house had only recently been completed. By the time the brigade arrived the fire had almost complete possession of the building, and when it was extinguished only one wall was left standing. Mr Johansen was at the house the previous evening showing a man over it to whom he proposed to let it. On Wednesday night it was stated that he dreamed the house was on fire, and in order to make sure his dream was not a reality he visited the place .in the morning and on finding everything safe went to work on a job in Palmerston Road. Later he was told the house was on fire.
It is further stated t that Mr Johansen may ask that an* inquest he held regarding the fire as he is rather suspicious as to its origin. The house burned down was the one in regard to which the Borough Council had l decided to take action for an alleged breach of the building by-laws. It ivas insured in the New Zealand Office for £4OO. The police are making investigations as to the origin of the fire, A\-ith a view to assisting an inquiry before the .District Coroner.
