GISBORNE TIMES OFFICE
The following are the readings of the barometer in our office, taken at 2 a.m. ea’sh day:—
GOVERNMENT METEOROLOGIST’S REPORT. Lper press association. 3 WELLINGTON, Jan. 26. Fair to cloudy weather has prevailed, with showers on the West Coast, and southernmost districts, moderate to strong westerly winds have predominated', with an unsteady barometer. Present indications are for mild and Lazy weather, continuing for about 24 Loin's, with a falling barometer and westerly winds, but a change to the southward will probably bring a short period of showery and changeable conditions, after which the barometer is due to rise and a_ spell of finer weather may be anticipated.
