TURAN&ANUICLUB. Ladies’ afternoon, on. the Turanganui green was quite a success, about sixty of the fair sex being present, and all enjoyed the games, either of bowls or croquet. A feature of the afternoon was the game between two l rinks of ladies skipped by Messrs H. J. Finn and M. Neill. This, although uncompleted, proved very interesting. Afternoon tea was provided by Mesdames Bruce and Finn. It is the intention of the committee to set apart a green for ladies’ bowling, so as to encourage lady membei’s. who will be always welcomed. GISBORNE CLUB. Tile following is the result of games on the Gisborne green: Champion fours: Crompton, Adair, Colebrook, and Coleman (skip), 21, beat Gxueve, D. G. Robertson Boulton, and It. Robertson (skip), 20; Gilmour, J. <F. Pettie,:_F. W: Pettie, and J. J. Maitin (skip). 16, beat Murray, Williams, Barber, and Hennessy. 15, on the 22nd head: Leslie, Burton, Bullock (sub), and Smith (skip), 26, heat Allan, Ashton, Brown, and McMillan, 15. Handicap Pairs: Burton and Brown (skip), 24, beat D. G. Robertson and R. Crawford (skip) 23 on the 22nd head. Champion Singles: McMillan 22 beat Smith 18, Pi-ice 21 beat Thelwall 12, R. Robertson 22 beat R. Crawford, 12, Craig 20 beat Wootton 14, PI off 22 beat O'Meara 10. Handicap Singles: Bullock 26 beat Leslie 17.
