VISIT OF INSPECTION Air. R. AY. Holmes, engineer-in-ernef to' the Public AA’or'ks Department, accompanied by Air- S. J. Harding, of the Napier office of the- Department, left by special coach cn Friday morning for a tour of inspection of tire East Coastrailway route. An inspection of different localities is to be made, and for this reason the journey is to be broken at various, points. After visiting the Esk Amlle-y .the party will make for the Tutira station and then go on 'to Yfaikari. At this point Air. Thorpe, the engineer in charge of the Gisborne end, will meet Air- Holmes, who will proceed over the entire route to Gisborne, Air Harding returning to Napier.
