Cameron that mathematics be not com. pulsory for the B.A. degree. r t was decided that the marks for German m the junior scholarship examination, be lowered to 850. Sir Maurice O'Rorue withdrew his motion in . reference to granting divinity degrees. The Music Committee rec-ommenled that the Senate renew its recommendation to the Government to grant a mm of money to assist in the immeduite establishment of a Concervatonum of Music at Auckland; that the Senate secure a report from an expert oi e\perts on a scheme proposed by the Auckland University College for a Onservatorium of Music. The report w".s adopted.
