PERSONAL NOTES.
Information lias been received (says the ‘‘Dominion”) that the most Rev. Dr. Kelly, Roman Catholic Archbishop of (S’vdney, accompanied by the Right Rev.' Dr. Dwyer, Bishop of Maitland, and the Very Rev. H.M'Dermott are about to pay a visit to New Zealand. Owing to'the growing importance of Messrs Dalgety and Company’s business in Hawke’s Bay and Poverty Bay it, has (says the “Telegraph”) been decided that Mr. J. G. Herd man, the local manager, will remain in charge of these districts for the present and will not now be transferred to Wellington, as was formerly arranged.
