A CRAWFORD STREET COMPLAINT.
[TO THE EIHTOB.J Sir, —I would like to call your attention to a matter which requires immediate attention. 1 allude to the fact that several cyclists are in the habit of riding—some at a scorching rate—along the footpath in Crawford Street, and unless the practice is nipped in the hud a serious accident will yet have to be recorded, as many pedestrians, including little children, pass along tho footpath when these gentry come along between the hours of 5 and 8 p.m. daily. I quite sympathise with cyclists at having to use the footpath owing to tho bad state of the road in Crawford Street through the drainage works being carried out there, but all the same human life and limb must be protected ; there I trust the powers that be will see that THE STABLE DOOR IS LOCKED BEFORE THE HORSE IS STOLEN.
