AUCKLAND SITTINGS. [per press association-] AUCKLAND, Feb. 2. At- the Supreme Court .Judge Edwards sentenced William Brown xor causing actual bodily liarm at Gisborneto six month’s hard labour. - Henry Westwood Brown, alias McCormack, for obtaining money by false pretenses, was sentenced to one year on each of three charges, concurrent.. James Charles Greburn, a youth with several aliases, for breaking and entering at New Plvmouth, was senteced to eighteen months’ hard labor- Alexcindei McLeod, alias Smith, for forgery and uttering at Gisborne, was sentenced to two years’ imprisonment and declared an habitual criminal. .James McLaren, theft from a dwelling at Waitara, was sentenced to two years on each of two charges, concurrent, and declared an habitual criminal- William Wolley, alias Robinson, for horse stealing at New Plymouth, was sentenced to eighteen months’ hard labour and declared to be an habitual criminal. William Grant, for horse stealing at Tologa Bay, was admitted to probation. Henare Wait!, for horse stealing at Tolaga Bav, was admitted to probation. William W. Law, a youth, was charged with having destroyed postal matter (circulars) at Thames. There being an absence of criminal intent, he was ordered to come up for sentence when called upon.
