BEAL DIFFICULTY IN HOME BULK BILL. [UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPVRIOHTI (Received Feb 4, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, Feb. 3. Mr. J. AL. Robertson, M.P-, speaking at London, said the real difficulty in. Home Rule was Ireland’s claim for complete absolute, and unchecked fiscal autonomy. It this was granted it would imply disintegration from tlie United Kingdom, and there was no hope for a Home Rule. Bill embodying such a> claim. The Ulster Methodists are arranging a. convention to protest against Home Rule. Of GOO Presbyterian ministers in Ireland, HO refused to join the protest.
LONDON, Feb. 2. • The “Times” states that despite the report of the financial committee published in the: “Times” on December 2, the Government has decided that Irish Customs excise shall remain under Imperial control. Messrs. Redmond and Dillon agree, hut good judges believe that the National Assembly will reject the Home Rule Bill unless it provides for fiscal autonomy. The “Chronicle,” in a- forecast of the Bill, however, states that Ireland has Ml control of Customs excise, subject to the continuance of British freetrade, and will receive a subsidv of £2,000,000 annually for fifteen years. Sir E' Carson, the leader of the anti-I-lome Rule party, has received a cable promising the support of six thousand Melbourne loyalists-
