LTO THE E'DITOB.J Sir, —It is all nonsense for anyone to say that Frank Holt was unable to continue his match against Bert Lowe at the time the dccisoin was given. Holt is one of the hardest men in New Zealand to knock out. I don’t know another man who can stand as much'punishment. And who would say “hat he.was punished by Lowe? I am sure Lowe would be the last to say so. Hero is what a. northern report said of Holt's showing at the tournament held by the "Waikato Boxing Association: "Middle weight Holt (Auckland) knocked out Brown (Hamilton) in the first round. . . .In the final Holt -beat Spear in the first round. S’incc Holt beat Olson at the Murphy benefit lie has made great headway, and lias developed a deadly punch*. Holt is undoubtedly one of the keenest and fairest boxers we have in the North at present, and there is no amateur who will stand u"- against more severe punishment. He is one of those fighters who emulates the -characteristics of the English troops at Waterloo, of whom Napoleon said: “Curse them, they never know when they are beaten.’’ —I am, etc., “ONE WHO KNOWS. ’
