BEEN IN ALL DOMINION GAOLS.

OVER 120 CONVICTIONS. When Christina Lawson, an aged woman, stepped into the dock at the Wellington Magistrate’s Court last Saturday she probably felt as much at home within the walls of pustice as the court orderly who cries ‘‘Silence!” every day. There were two charges made against her—breaking a prohibition order, and idling. It was stated that there had been 119 convictions against her, and now her tally is 121. She is a person yvorv well known to the police, and has been in every gaol in the Dominion. Years of her life have been spent in prisons, and for at least 25 years she has been appearing before the courts.
