The proposals of a syndicate of American capitalists to establish casinos, race trades, and gambling halls at Hamilton Bermuda, transforming the island into a veritable Monte Carlo, was summarily rejected by orders of the Governor, Sir- Walker Kitchener- A member of the Bermuda Parliament declares that residents have old-fashioned prejudices against suicides.
