The seventh series of senior cricket matches were concluded yesterday in fine weather. Parnell heat University by an innings and 61 runs, Parnell taking their score to 273, and University, who had made 147 in their first innings, getting only 65 in their second effort. For Parnell A. Warner scored 57. and Wright 42 while H. Warner took five ’Varsity wickets for 30 runs. Ponsonby with 141 beat Eden, who scored 74 and 109. Each team was three men short in its second innings. Bowling for Eden, Alexander took four wickets for 11 runs. North Shore beat Grafton by 49 runs on first innings, scoring 177 to Grafton s 128. McCormack made 48 for Grafton. Bowling for Shore Howden took six wickets for 27 runs. Batting again Shore made 90 for four wickets (G. Dacre 38 not out, L. Dacre 32).
