HINDMARSH UNDECIDED. [SPECIAL TO TIMES.] WELLINGTON, Feb. _ 14. From bis platform utterances it has been presumed that Air A. H. .Hindmarsh. Labor member for Wellington South, would support the Government against any attack aimed at its rejection from office. This afternoon Mr Hindmarsh said he had not yet made up his mind how he would vote on a no-confidence motion. He would listen to the debate, and he was getting further information on certain subjects. Air Hindmarsh added that he was absolutely unpledged and that he had not been approached on behalf of either of the two large parties with a view to obtaining his vote. THIS WEEK'S PROGRAAIAIE. [per press association-1] WELLINGTON, Feb. 14. Parliament will be opened by the Commission to-morrow afternoon. After the election of the Speaker an adjournment will be made till Friday afternoon, when the Governor’s speech will be delivered. Air R. H. Rhodes has been appointed Senior Opposition Whip. THE OPPOSITION AYHIPS. [.SPECIAL TO TIMES.] WELLINGTON, Feb. 14. Air Heat-on -Rhodes has been appointed Senior Whip to the Opposition party, and Air D. H. Guthrie (Oroua) was today appointed junior whip. Mr Guthrie, who is one of the most- popular members on the Opposition side of the House, succeeded Air Lethbridge as member for the -district of Oroua. and is looked upon as one of the authorities on education. MEETING OF GOVERNMENT MEMBERS. OPITAIISAI PREDOMINANT. AVELLINGTON, Feb. 14. ! A caucus meeting of the Government i Party was held this evening, lasting over three hours. All the members were present. The Premier reiterated his determination to meet- Parliament as the leader of the Government, but gave no indication of his proposals for the session nor was information asked by the members, who maintained optimism regarding the ability of the party to command a majority.
