TAHEKE BUSH FATALITY. ,

[per press association.] AUCKLAND, Feb. 15

Further particulars have been received rewarding the fatal accident that occurred in Faithfull’s bush at Talveke resulting in the death of G. White, a youth of 18 years. White and several other bushmen were rolling a log out of the bush when the chain grips caught his leg and as the log rolled drew him under. The log rolled several times over him before he could be rescued, and 1 when picked up he was found to be dead. His head was terribly crushed. Fifteen of his mates carried him in relays 10 miles to the Taheke Hotel.
