New Zealand is'not quoted. The butter market remains firm, and a good demand continues. The New Zealand butter is giving satisfaction to buyers, and the prospects are favorable. Continental are larger than expected. The average price for the week for choicest New Zealand butter, per cwt, _is 1325, Australian 1295, Danish 1355, Siberian 1295, Argentine 12Ss. The cheese market is quiet on account of hi ah prices. Holders are firm. New Zealand cheese is giving satisfaction to buyers. White 82s, colored 71s 6d. The hemp market is steady, without animation. New Zealand good to fair grade, on spot, £2O 4s, fair grade £2O ss, failcurrent Manila £2l I.os, New Zealand fair grade £2O 10s, fair current Manila £2l 10s. ' The output from Manila for the week was 20,000 bales. The cocksfoot seed market is quiet, but holders are firm. Buyers are not keen to do business. Bright, clean New Zealand cocksfoot seed, weighing 171bs per bushel, is at ss. The wool market is quiet. Prices are slightly weaker. The current quotations for Bradford tops, 36 s (low ■ crossbreds) Is Is Id, 54’s (medium crossbreds) Is 1-M, 50’s (half-breds) Is sd, 56’s (quarterbreds) Is 7.1 d, 60’s (mermo6) 2s. the kauri gum market is quiet and steadv. 174 cases were offered and 80 were sold. The stock on hand is 3764 cases. The wheat and flour afloat for the United Kingdom totals 3,180,000 quarters, and for the Continent 1,145,000 quarters. Atlantic shipments absorb 183,000 quarters, and Pacific 45,000 quarters. The total shipments for Europe this week total 1,050,000 quarters, nicluding Argentina 88,000 quarters, Russian 18.500 quarters, Danubian 164,000 quarters, India 11,400 quarters, and Australia 220,000 quarters.
