■YOUNG man burned to death. LjPER l’ltton ASSOCIATION. j L THAMES, Feb. 19. The Royal Mail private hotel, owned and occupied by George Crosby, was completely destroyed by fire at Paeroa. Several boarders had narrow escapes m their night attire. The fire had commenced in the room of “Scotty” Fres r ton. an engineer, aged 25, who was burned to death, alter vain attempts had been made to rescue him. The insurance on the building was £BOO, and on the furniture £650. Crosby is a heavy loser. ■>. • . '
