A man in Sofia is petitioning for a divorce from his wife because she insisted on having her first husband’s mother to live in the house. When Bunyan’s copy of Foxe’s “Book of Martyrs” was put up to auction at Messrs Sotheby’s rooms, only two bids —£3oo and £6oo—were made, and it was withdrawn.
