FLAXMILLERS’ DISPUTE.

PALMERSTON N., Feb. 28. A conference between the New Zealand FlaxmiHers’ Association and the Manawatu FlaxmiHers’ Industrial' Union was held yesterday, Mr. P. Hally, Conciliation Commissioner, being in the chair. The conference lasted an the afternoon, and matters at one time appeared likely to end in a deadlock. Mr. Hally, however, was successful in bringing matters to a successful issue, and a settlement of the dispute was. arrived at. Representatives of both sides spoke enthusiastically of the tact and ability shown by Mr Hally.
