CONVERTIBLE CRUISERS.
CANADIAN GOVERNMENT’S PLANS. {.UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT] OTTAWA, Feb. 29. The Dominion Government and some English transport companies are planning the inauguration of a new steamship service between Canada and England. The vessels to be employed will be equal to' a speed of 24 knots an hour, a j : d will be armed and otherwise equipped for immediate conversion into cruisers in time of war.
