AUCKLAND-SYDNEY CABLE.

A TENDER ACCEPTED

[UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION —COPYRIGHT] LONDON, Feb. 28.

The Pacific Cable Board has accepted the tender of the Indiarubber and Guttapercha Telegraph Works Company to construct and lay a cable from the neighborhood of Sydney—probably at Bondi—to Auckland, and also to brTfig the Norfolk Island cable to Auckland, instead of to Doubtless Bay. It is expected that both works will be completed about Christmas.
