THE CONFERENCES A FAILURE. FULLER STATEMENT TO-DAY. LONDON, March 1The miners declined’ the Premier’s invitation to again meet the owners, saying that- they stood firm in their demands. Mr. Asquith (Premier), in the House of Commons, announced the failure of the conferences. He promised a fuller statement on Monday.
