The Union Go’s steamer Monowai was expected to arrive here from the South to-morrow morning, but owing to her having to cease loading at Lyttelton on account of the rain her departure from that port has been delayed. At- tbe present time she is due to arrive here to- ■ morrow evening or on Thursday mornMessrs Huddart Parker and Co’s steamer Wimmera is due to clear Auckland tor Gisborne via Tokomaru Bay to-day and she should arrive here to-morrow afternoon.. The launch will leave the wharf to connect on arrival and at 7 p.m., and the Wimmera will resume her passage to Napier later in the evening. The Union Go’s steamer Haupiri is at present working East Coast Bays and will return to Gisborne at an early date to load sheep for Tauranga. The Union Go’s steamer Mokoia,. which left here on Sunday evening, did not reach Napier until 9 a.m. yesterday, and passengers and mails alike missed the southern, express. TELEGRAPHIC. LONDON.
