POVERTY BAY SHEEP DOC TRIAL CLUB.

' A meeting of the Committee <f the above Club was held at the G*monel HotAi on Saturday, March 2nd. There was a good attendance, amongst those present were:—J. A. Caesar (Piresident), F. Cook, E. W. ' Bousefield, W. Bougen, A. Parsons, J. McKay, J. Herbert, F.' and D. McKenzie, B. Buckland, G. E. Jones, C. Keenan. and E. Hingston. Correspondence outward and inward was read. In the outward letters there was one forwarded to Mrs A. McKenzie gratefully tendering the thanks of the Club for the interest she had shown in its welfare by the presentation of a handsome cup‘as a prize. All the members expressed appreciation at the gift. ■ • p A communication was read from the North Island Sheep Dog Trial Associatioh,' requesting this Club to affiliate. The Chairman announced that this Club had done so, and the registration fee and annual subscription, amounting to £3 had been paid. In another letter it was stated that the Association had- fixed the date of Trials for the Poverty Bay Club for the 23rd 24th, and 25th May. Some members considered that the fixture was rather late for the season, as' tlie previous trials were usuallv held about the firstweek in April. The Chairman remarked that lie thought the dates fixed could not now be, altered. The subjoined letter was then read: TAKAPAU, H.B. January, 12. IDI2. Dear Sir, —I herewith enclose Registration forms,, and can supply you with more if required. Clubs will just have to run their Trials under the old rules, as the hew rules will not he adjusted nor endorsed until the next meeting of delegates at Takapau, H. 8., on 19th June, 1912. All business and remits to be discussed at that meeting should be in the hands of the Secretary .not later than May 9th, 1912.” I wish your Trial every success. Yours Faithfully, W. 0 UTH BERTSQN. Secretary. It was decided on the suggestion oi the Chairman, that all matters concerning remits, delegate, .and appointment of judges, be left over to the Annual General meeting of the Club. It was resolved that the Annual General meeting be held at the Ormond Hotel on Saturday, 16th March, at 3 p.m. The Annual Balance Sheet was submitted by the Secretary. It showed that the General Working account for the vear now closed a credit of £215 Is. the '9th May, 1912. The statement of assets and liabilities showed :—Assets: Cash at Bank, £2l Is Id; cash in hand, 4s; at P.O. Savings Bank, £lO 10s; Total, £6l 15s Id. The liabilities were £3, leaving a balance of assets or £SB los Id. The Chairman considered the financial position satisfactory, and hoped it would be still more so with the hearty assistance of all the members and competitions atthe forthcoming trials. Several minor matters were dealt with, including the cases of some who had nominated dogs at last trial and who had not yet paid their fees, which was left to the (Secretary to deal with, and report at the Annual Meeting.
