Following an old quarrel wherein ox-Mayor Snow, of Oakland, fought an assailant named Goldman, the latter after his release from the penitentiary ambushed Snow in the assembly rooms of. the First Congregational Church. A revolver duel followed. Snow was taken to the hospital dying. Goldman is dead. Goldman had served five years in the penitentiary after his first attack on Snow, who while Mayor incurred his enmitv.
