The biennial Libraries’ Conference was opened at Wellington on Saturday (according to a Press Association wire). There was a large attendance of delegates. Mr. G. L. Baggett representing Gisborne- Mr. T. W. Leys’ presidential contained very interesting and valuable observation on lib-rary-building. The annual report and balance-sheet, showing a credit balance cf £3l, were adopted.
