TE AF2A! CLUB. ANNUAL MEETING. The annual general meeting of the Te Arai Football Club was held in the Manutuke Schoolroom on Wednesday evening, Mr E. P. Roberts presiding. . , . ~ The following officers were elected. President, Mr E. P. Roberts (reelected) ; vice-presidents, Messrs J. Gibson, C. Gibson,, R- Preston, A. J. Wilson, J. Law, T. Hamilton, I. Hall»ert, C. Cullen, J. Clark, ran., J. E. Dalton, E. L. Stewart, Akast, Jas. Sisterson, S. E. Gillingham, Goo. Coop, and Jas. Boyd- captain H. D. Gibson; vice-captain, S. AY > scc / retarv and treasurer, G. Dalton; selection committee, Messrs F. Macdonald, W. Dalton, and H Gibson; general committee, Messrs E. 1 . Roberts, J. Dalton, S. White, F. Macdonald, AV. Dalton, E. L. Stewart, H. Gibson, ‘K Poulgrain, A. Young and I'. Gleye. It was decided that the colors of the club be ail-black. The opening of the season was arranged for Thursday, May 2, when it was hoped to receive a visit from the Gisborne Club. POVERTY BAY REFEREES’ ASSOCIATION. ANNUAL MEETING. 'J’lie annual general meeting of the Poverty Bay ‘ Referees’ Association was held in the Royal Hotel last evening, Mr. W. Hay presiding over a large attendance of members. The annual report stated that the past season had been a most successful one, and a pleasing feature was that, although there was a considerable increase in the number of matches, the Association was able to place capable referees on the field. Thanks were due to the Poverty Bay Rugby Union, and to Mr J. J. Martin for the free use of liis rooms for meetings. ' The Association was in a sound financial condition. The balance-sheet showed a credit balance of ISs 6d. On the motion of the chairman, seconded by Mr- 0. R. Olsen, the annual report and balance-sheet wore •adopted una ni mou sly. The following office-bearers were elected:—President, Air. A. W. Rees; * chairman, Mr. AY. Hay; vice-chair-man, Mr. S S. Deans; secretary and treasurer, Mr. A. Wallace; executive committee, Messrs. J. J- Martin, 0. R. Olsen, C. Hepburn, and other officers. The meeting then proceeded to discuss rulings from the N.Z. Association and the AVanganui, Association. Messrs. J. Eaton and S. Coleman, as a. deputation from the .Poverty Bay Rugby Union, took part in the discussions. A vote of thanks to the chairman concluded the meeting. THE ASSOCIATION GAME. TOAIORROWS MATCHES. The team to represent County against Turaiiganui at the new Domain to-morrow w-ill be selected from the following; —F. Gleeson, Hunwick, Payers, D. McNair,' T. Hannah, J. Dodd. S. Hoare, B. Sharp, H. Sharp, AAb P. Holt, H. Monk. A. McGee, G. Dick, R. Campbell, J. AYiliiams. ENGLISH CUP FINAL. [UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT] LONDON. April 24. In the English Cup final the re-play resulted in a win for Barnsley against West Bromwich by one goal to nil.
