DUNEDIN MARKETS. [PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.] DUNEDIN. April 27. An active demand for bran has set in from Australia, and contracts have been entered into by some local millers with the Commonwealth to well mto May. Prices rule from £4 5s to £4' 9s 6d i>er ton, f.o.b. Pollard is exceedingly" scarce. The demand appears to ibe in excess of the supply. Mr J. R. Scott, secretary of “the South Island Dairy Association, has received the following cablegram from London: “Butter, New Zealand salted 110 s, unsalted 114 s; market closes -steady. Cheese, N.Z. white 70s, colored 71s; dealers in New Zealand and Canadian cheese are endeavoring to bear th 0 market. Weddell’s are opposing this, and look for an improvement in the near future.” LONDON WOOL MARKET. [UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT]’ LONDON, April 23. The wool market is strong, and competition is well maintained. (Received April 29. 1-25 a.m.) LONDON, April 28. Wool met with a good sale, and prices are unchanged. There was brisk competition. There wore catalogued 194,728 bales, and there were sold 178,253 bales. Hakateramoa mad a top price of 13d and an average of llfd, while Bluecliffs made a to- 1 price of 13Id and an average of 103 d.
