After months of manoeuvring by the rival troops a decisive battle is believed to be now imminent. The two armies, composed of 15,000 men, came into conflict near Torreon, which the rebels are seeking to capture. PROVISIONAL PRESIDENT ABDICATES. (Received Mav 13, 12.5 a.m.) MEXICO CITY, May 12. General Gomez has abdicated the provisional presidency. General Orozco is facing the Federal armv with 7000 men. There lias been no engagement yet, hut the Federals hold the stronger positions, and General Orozco’s retreat is likely.
