[PEE PRESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON, May. 23. . At a meeting here this evening it was decided to form .a Wellington Provincial League affiliated to the New Zealand Rugby League. _ Mr G. Gillett, organiser for the Northern League, said that the New Zealand League was willing to assist AA ellington in the matter of advice and finance. The rules of the game provided that nobody should get any recompense for playing in their leisure time, and that no man should draw anything for Saturday afternoons. The men would only he paid when on tour and losing wages. Any man who relied on making money enough to keep him by playing the game would be making a great mistake. The ground bogey would be done away with for this season. Nominations were received from four clubs, and it was decided to commence training immediately. It was announced 'that- arrangements had been made for, representative matches to be played between Wellington, Nelson, Hawke’s Bay, Taranaki, Auckland and Wanganui. A match would be played between New South ’Wales and Wellington, and in all probability between NewSouth Wajes and New A touring team would he sent to NewSouth Wales during the season. . Nelson desired to send a team here on Juno 3.
